Suffixes Word Sort (literacy)

Suffix activities based on Montessori Language activities

1. Word match up. Child matches up the root word to the suffix. This simple activity can be laminated onto cardstock and cut out for repeat use! 2 sets of 10 words each

2. Task cards. Child reads a sentence and finds the suffix that makes the sentence make sense e.g. the girl was danc___ (the child has a selection of 3 suffixes to choose from to fill in the gap). An answer card is provided. 24 task cards
