Ancient Civilizations Research Pack | Montessori History Activities for Ages 9–12
Bring ancient history to life with this detailed Ancient Civilizations Research Pack covering Ancient Egypt, Ancient China, and Ancient Persia.
Ancient civilizations are an important part of the Montessori 9–12 history curriculum, but it can be hard to find follow-up work that is structured, meaningful, age-appropriate, and flexible enough for the real children in front of us.
Sometimes the activities in manuals are too brief. Sometimes they require too much teacher preparation. Sometimes they don’t support a wide enough range of learners. And sometimes children are interested in ancient history, but need clear guidance to help them research, organise, question, compare, and communicate what they are learning.
This resource was created to help with that.
I run a small Montessori school, teach real children, and create resources because I know what it is like to need beautiful, purposeful follow-up work without unlimited time, budget, or planning hours. This pack gives you a ready-to-use structure for exploring ancient civilizations while still leaving space for books, discussion, student choice, creativity, and independent research.
Just add books, reference materials, or online research sources, and you have a rich ancient history study ready to go.
