The pack includes subtraction facts written both horizontally and vertically. This helps learners recognise the operation regardless of layout and practise using the subtraction finger chart with varied equations.

Missing-Subtrahend Challenges

Later cards ask children to identify the unknown amount being removed—for example, a structure such as:

Open-Ended Subtraction Work

4. Find unknown values. Introduce missing-subtrahend cards.
