This activity helps young learners learn how to count with area square blocks.
This area activity is designed for elementary Montessorians.
Students sort pictures under larger or smaller area header cards.
Two of each picture are provided, a small version and a large version.
As an extension students can use the squares to compare how much bigger one picture is to another.
Students may also be interested in learning how much of a square is covered.
