Modern Montessori Reading SOR Word Family Sorting (literacy)

The child sees how word families involve manipulating just the beginning sound. If the child can spell one of the family words then they can spell the others too!

Present a blank chart and read the headings aloud. Print and shuffle the word cards. The child reads each word and places it under the correct heading.
