Me on the map: New Zealand geography

New Zealand mapping, geography or Social Studies activity. Students put themselves on the map by labeling where they live by town/city, region, country (New Zealand) and continent.

The file contains:
-instructions on how to make the book
- pages to make the book
- pictures and outline maps to stick into the book

HOW TO USE
-Make a copy of the ‘book’ for the student – note there is an alternate page if you live in a rural area, scroll down to access it.
-Make copies of the pictures
-In class child cuts out pictures and puts them on the relevant page.
-Child then writes in correct word/s on line
-Cut out the completed pages. Put the pages in an ordered pile with the largest page (the continent) at the back. Staple together.
