Oceania is often an afterthought in many continent studies. Some people say that since it is strictly not a continent it should be left to later. This is an interesting supposition. Recently another continent called Zealandia has been found. I prefer to teach Oceania, not only because I live here in Oceania but because this whole area of the Pacific including Australia, is home to incredible diversity and features the best navigators in the world.
