This is a digital item and will be sent instantly. No physical item will be shipped.

Make early counting feel hands-on, playful and concrete.

These Montessori-inspired 1–10 Counting Mats help children explore number formation, quantity, sequencing and “one more/one less” using toy cars, playdough or loose parts.

Each mat shows children how numbers can be represented in different ways, making this a lovely early maths activity for preschool, Montessori 3–6 and homeschool learning.

----

Learn how numbers are represented in different ways.

These are ideal for hands on learning.

Simply give your child a toy car or similar and have them follow the track starting at green and going to red. On the right hand side are 2 x visual representations of the numbers.

At the bottom it shows the learner how the number “fits” in the sequence of numbers. For example the number 3 play dough mat has a small 2 to show 2 is smaller than 3 , then a 3, then a large 4 to show that 4 is bigger.

You could also use playdough instead of a toy car if you wish!
