Do your students understand place value during a lesson but become confused when tens, hundreds and decimal amounts appear in a real context?
These New Zealand money task cards connect place value with familiar currency. Students calculate the value of groups of $10 notes before combining them with $5 notes and coins.
Beginning with accessible two-digit amounts and progressing to totals approaching $1,000, the cards help children see how repeated groups of ten build larger numbers.

• Answers printed on the reverse
• Teacher instructions
• Whole-dollar and decimal amounts
• Totals ranging from $43 to $969
