HOW TO USE

Begin by allowing children to count real or play money. Model useful strategies such as counting the notes first, grouping coins by denomination, skip counting, or counting the cents before combining them with the dollar amount.

Place the control cards in a column. Children count each picture card and match it with the correct amount label. They can then compare their completed matches with the control cards.

For an additional challenge, keep the control cards to one side until the activity is complete.
