New Zealand Money Rounding Task Cards | Round to the Nearest Dollar

Help children connect rounding skills with everyday New Zealand money amounts.

These New Zealand money task cards give students practical practice rounding prices to the nearest dollar. Instead of working only with abstract numbers, children look at realistic dollar-and-cent amounts and decide which whole-dollar value each amount is closest to.

For example:

Is $3.20 closer to $3 or $4?
Is $6.80 closer to $6 or $7?

This encourages children to develop number sense, understand the relationship between dollars and cents, and apply rounding in a meaningful financial context.
